Never won at the highest level but the son of Red Ransom achieved numerous impressive feats during his career, not least the heralded title of Champion Miler in 1998; the winner of two of his three starts as a juvenile, he continued to progress at three with Listed victories at Epsom (Fortune Stakes) and Newmarket (Joel Stakes); as a 4yo he was a wide-margin winner of the Group 3 Diomed Stakes at Epsom on Derby day, ensuring he was sent off favourite for the Group 2 Queen Anne Stakes; took that contest by 8l from subsequent Sussex Stakes winner Among Men before sadly sustaining a pelvic injury on his next start in the Lockinge Stakes the following spring, meaning he never saw the racecourse again; best at about 1m, handled decent ground; sire of Oaks winner Snow Fairy among other classy horses
