Immersive filled the runner-up spot for a second time this season as she chased home dominant winner Scottish Lassie in the G1 Coaching Club American Oaks at Saratoga, USA, on Saturday, 19 July.

Last season’s Champion Two-Year-Old Filly was returning to the scene of her Spinaway Stakes victory, the first of three consecutive G1 wins in 2024, having finished a neck second on her three-year-old return in last month’s Monomoy Girl Stakes at Churchill Downs.

After breaking quickest of the four runners, Manny Franco steadied Immersive heading into the first turn before switching out the Brad Cox-trained daughter of Nyquist to stalk Scottish Lassie in a length second.

The front two had four lengths in hand over Take Charge Milady leaving the back, with Dry Powder a further two lengths in arrears.

Immersive attempted to close on a strong-travelling Scottish Lassie turning in but could not close on the leader, who readily increased her advantage at the top of the straight.

Scottish Lassie powered further clear down the lane, crossing the line 15 and a half lengths in front, with Immersive keeping on at the same pace to come home six lengths clear of Dry Powder.
