Tempted to represent Godolphin in The Everest

Godolphin is pleased to announce that outstanding filly Tempted (Street Boss) will be their representative in the 2025 The Everest at Royal Randwick.
Trained by Ciaron Maher, Tempted has quickly established herself among Australia’s leading three-year-old sprinters, winning four of her eight starts and earning more than A$1.68 million in prize money.
Bred and raised at Godolphin’s Woodlands Stud in New South Wales, Tempted is by Darley stallion Street Boss, also the sire of the outstanding Anamoe, and out of the Exceed And Excel mare Calliope, a Group-winning juvenile for Godolphin.
As a two-year-old, Tempted captured both the G2 Reisling Stakes and G2 Percy Sykes Stakes, while also running a gallant third in the G1 Golden Slipper. This season, she returned to win the G2 Run to the Rose and finished third in the G1 Golden Rose, behind the record-breaking colt Beiwacht (Bivouac).
“Tempted is a top-class filly. She’s in great form and three-year-olds have a strong record in a race like The Everest,” said Andy Makiv, Managing Director of Godolphin Australia.
“She represents everything we stand for at Godolphin. She’s by one of our shuttle stallions, and was bred, raised, and developed across our farms. To see her line up in The Everest is a proud moment for everyone involved.”
Tempted will be ridden by Craig Williams, who teams up once again with Ciaron Maher, the trainer–jockey combination who won The Everest in 2024.
