The history of the property dates back to the late 1800s and spans a thoughtfully designed layout of stallion runs, spelling yards and grazing paddocks. The classical Australian colonial homestead, built in 1898, with its landscaped gardens, now form the main reception area. This heritage building is set on high ground, with views over the Hunter and Pages Rivers.

Kelvinside is the New South Wales home to the Darley stallions, together with facilities providing young horse education, pre-training and spelling.
