Wootton maintained his unbeaten record with an impressive display in the mile Listed Prix Isonomy at Deauville, France, on Thursday, October 19.
The two-year-old colt, who made a winning debut for trainer Henri-Alex Pantall over the same course and distance on August 22, was settled in fourth of the seven runners early on by Mickael Barzalona.
He travelled strongly into the race at the top of the straight and readily quickened clear after taking the lead approaching the final furlong, going on to score by five lengths in 1m 41.97s on very soft ground.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: “Wootton won very nicely. He stepped up on his debut and it was a very professional performance.
“He showed his class and is an exciting horse to head into the winter with.”
