Dominant all-weather winner Time To Turn bids to continue Godolphin’s strong record in the Listed Pat Eddery Stakes at Ascot, UK, on Friday, 25 July.

Charlie Appleby has saddled four of the last six winners of the seven-furlong contest for two-year-olds and has also sent out subsequent G1 winners Naval Crown and Ancient Wisdom to finish third in recent years.

Time To Turn filled the runner-up spot on his first two starts before easily getting off the mark at Wolverhampton at the end of June, when the Dark Angel homebred made all to score by 10 lengths.

The form of Time To Turn’s first two starts have worked out well, with Maximized going on to win the Woodcote Stakes at Epsom Downs and finish fourth in the G2 July Stakes after beating his stablemate on debut at Haydock Park in May.

A Bit Of Spirit denied Time To Turn by a head at Newbury in June and reopposes having readily won under a penalty on his next start.

Charlie Appleby said: “Time To Turn was impressive on his last start and has progressed with racing. He will have to reverse the Newbury form with A Bit Of Spirit but goes here in good order and conditions should suit. We hope that he can be a live player.”
