Wet Paint gained another Graded placing as she rallied from the rear to grab third in the G2 Delaware Handicap on Sunday, 7 July.
The Brad Cox-trained four-year-old was giving weight all round in the Delaware Park highlight for fillies and mares, primarily due to a superb 2023 campaign that included victory in the G1 Coaching Club American Oaks.
After breaking on terms, Wet Paint was held up in sixth of the seven runners by Flavien Prat until Morning Matcha relegated the Godolphin homebred to a clear last down the back.
Wet Paint still had the whole field in front of her at the top of the home straight but closed strongly after being switched wide, getting up for third inside the final half-furlong.
